In particular EK have been asking for more frequencies from the WEST..... UL (Air Lanka) would offer an alternative route to DXB because of good connections in CMB and it's been awhile since UL has flown to OZ. More importantly (to me) UL has very good fares from CMB to the Indian sub-continent which would open up a new market bypassing the (expensive) mid flight stopover (SIN)

UL is managed (at least in a large part) by EK and shares the Skywards FF program.
