There was a big thread on nesting about 6 months ago (but I can't be bothered to dig it out). Some of the BA (apparently) posters seemed to indicate that this would be a very bad thing but others thought it would be OK.

Personally I think it would be fine but recently have deliberately avoided it on the only occasion it has come up based on this advice.
