Certainly only normal seat pitch. It's a popular seat for reasons as per
Globaliser's comments. (Although, coming back from SIN on QF10 earlier this year I did get a rather large male FA reclining "24H" fully (with some force, to get as much recline as possible I surmise)).
Your "
telephone consultant" was certainly incorrect; I guess that their seat map was showing nothing immediately in front and assumed it was similar to an exit row.
FWIW, 34H is not normally available for preallocation unless you are QF PS or better. i.e. I was unable to get it once for QP NB
