Well since I started some of the discussion I should certainly report back.

My wife and I were scheduled to stay at the Westin Paris for four nights in late November. Due to weather, we ended up missing our connecting flight to Paris and our stay was down to three nights. Plat line took care of making the changes to my award reservation in like champs...rebooked with no problems at all.

We got to the hotel before our room was available. After a few minutes, the lady at the front desk said she didn't realize I was a Plat and I should go to the plat desk to check in.

There were three desks in the lobby and I was escorted to the first one. I was quickly checked in, told I had access to the exec lounge and that I had been given a jr. suite. My room wasn't ready but would be a few hours later.

Our room was very nice and had 'the view' of the Tuileries, the Louvre and the tower. The room was European to me...older furniture, great bed, very large bathroom, extremely small balcony looking out over Rue de Rivoli.

The club was nothing special. It was nice for free internet access and sodas as well as pastries in the a.m. It was staffed only in the morning but we didn't go for cocktails so there may have been someone there. I grabbed a bottle of water at one point and used the pc...that's about it. Personally, I'd never pay for access to this club if the cost was more than $10 per night.

I'm very pleased with my treatment here. Granted, I corresponded with Claudia several times prior to my visit and she was great. I'm so pleased with the treatment I got here...it made the stays in poor Sheratons and Four Points (and awesome Westins) worthwhile. I can't say enough about the location and staff at this hotel.
