Agreed there are other fora that are more appropriate.

*A - AC to YVR; UA to LAX; NZ to AKL to PPT to AKL to CHC to SYD. Within Oz you are on your own (although you could in theory backtrack via AKL). Pick up SQ in MEL to SIN to KUL. Route via TG and/or SQ (and check NH just in case, but probably too out of the way) to MNL & HKG & BOM; SA to JNB, CPT, SA or LH to LHR.

OW - BA to YVR; AA to LAX; QF (maybe via SYD) to AKL. South Pacific you're on your own; I might reorder your segments; I don't believe the QF flights LAX-PPT or PPT-SYD, which are code-shared on Air Tahiti Nui, count. Obviously the flights within Oz work with QF, as does MEL-SIN. Thereafter, you would use CX within Asia, and eventually to BOM. BOM-JNB would backtrack through HKG or you could try connect via Europe (I think would be longer). BA has a segment CPT-JNB. The return could be BA or any of the European airlines. For the South Pacific, there is a "Global Explorer" RTW offer which adds Air Pacific (Fiji) to your list of airlines; if you re-order, you could perhaps do something there (maybe stopping in HNL and connecting there).
