It's a pretty nice approach, at least from the east on a clear day. I once took an NW bump on the infamous MSP-SEA and got rerouted MSP-BIL-SEA, with the last segment on Horizon. Flying into BIL on something other than an RJ is a treat.
The real trick in BIL was (maybe still is) finding an unlimited-mileage rental car. It's not like anyone would need to drive very far in Montana, right?
