I think even worse is that I can't OLCI that way either. At least I'm flying on UA. Hard to justify a $150 r/t difference just by having it ticketed on United. When I actually get stuck flying US I have to find someone at the counter to add my MP number. They never seem too happy to do that.
Update: Got a response from US stating they had added my MP # (24 hours after my request) and it now shows under my itin.
