Is there any evidence to suggest that BA doesn't give as many operational upgrades to "European" Gold members as to "UK" Gold members?

Personally I've never received a freebie from BA anyway... (grmbl... )

BA Amex is why I stay in the UK... it's worth more to me than quicker Gold...
