You will land from your Mexico flight at IAH Terminal E. You will then walk a long, long way to passport control. Once through passport control, you will then have to collect your baggage and clear customs.

I THINK that you will then have to schlep your luggage to Terminal D to check in with British Airways. There are luggage re-checking desks outside of the customs area before you exit into Terminal E, but the website seems to indicate they are for domestic connections.

How much time do you have / how tight is your connection? Anything less than 90 minutes is probably pretty unrealistic, IMO.

If you're supposed to be flying out on the 7.30pm BA flight, and miss it, if you absolutely must depart that night you might be able to beg your way onto the 10pm AF flight to CDG. It's the last int'l flight out...
