Which country should one purport to live in for Silver-aiming purposes?
Doing research on behalf a friend.
Now as you all know we're stuck with QF FF downunder ever since BAEC cruelly abandoned us. Said friend is currently a sapphire with QF, a BA fan and has a newly acquired reason to fly club world every now and again to London (ie, work). One of her NY resolutions happens to be boycotting QF "it's Australian for crap" FF for good, and she's now exploring other ow options.
Ever since my jaunt in London with some lovely BAers, I've come to realise that BAEC might not be too bad after all. Especially as she;s going to be doing BA a lot and the AA Lack-of-ChAAllenge appears to now be a real ChAAllenge due to its newly enforced 'AA metal-only' rule.
I'm aware that it's possible to get BAEC status with less tier points than one would normally have to achieve if one purports to live in certain places other than London. An Australian address is out obviously as the system automatically shuts you out and direct you to QF FF. Said friend doesn't have an actual UK address anyway. So where would my mate need to pretend to live in to get BAEC status the fastest possible way? Anywhere beside South Pacific and the UK? I realised she'd be enrolled in Asia Miles if she got a 'Far East' address - would that be beneficial vs earning BA mileage?
