I found the following on a skiing website:

The visa situation has recently changed. Anyone holding a British passport is no longer allowed to get a visa upon arrival in Beirut. It must be done through the appropriate Lebanese Embassy.

The website has the date 2005 on it. Has anyone else heard of this info? Is it old or new?
