all this talk about the Maglev and taxis is getting me a bit confused.

i have travelled three times on the maglev [ from PVG] and have had no problems [ touch wood] so far with the rogue taxis......upon arrival at the city terminal ...i go down upon the escalator and join a taxi queue and the meter is switched on and i get to my destination ...either in pudong or puxi. and thankfully its been smooth all the way

my biggest irritation is when the cab reeks of cigarette smoke .....which is usually extinguished ...when i ask politely for them to do so......

i did on one occasion get a cab to PVG on the maglev fro the westin bund and there wasnt any problem either .....

as a matter of interest ..how much is a reasonable cab fare from lets say the westin/royal meridien in puxi to PVG...??......anyone care to share ? thanks
