Oh, I agree that it could be worse. However, it could also be better, if (and this is one gigantitic if) the government were invested in making real and efficacious changes that would balance security and liberty.
The thought that keeps running through my mind, is this: What if we put slot machines in every airport and let casino managmement be in charge of security? I always think it in jest, and at the same time, the thought recurs.
