The only place I know where you can do an airside international-international is LAX. I know that NZ have this for the LHR-LAX-AKL flight, as does TN (Air Tahiti Nui) for the PPT-LAX-CDG flight.
And from what I hear, you're put in the equivalent of a detention cell until flight time - not nice at all
