I am happy with the CitiAA credit card I have, although I think as a bank, Citibank leaves much to be desired.
I opened an account after seeing so many Citibank ATMs overseas and getting tired of paying ATM fees internationally. When I opened the account I asked repeatedly if I could use international ATMs for no charge. The answer was yes.
I was surprised by the $6 surcharge for each transaction on my next statement and then the rep's response when I explained what I had been told about "no-fee" ATMs:
"That $6 is a 'charge' not a fee"
I closed my account immediately thereafter.
BofA has a good network of fee-free ATMs with partner banks. FYI
