Stayed recently at Marriott Desert Ridge in Arizona. I noticed right away that there were ashtrays on the outdoor lounge area tables, and asked the front desk about smoking areas. ( I have almost quit but still enjoy a cigarette with morning coffee and with a cocktail sometimes.) Smoking was allowed on balcony with door closed. I don't know if certain area rooms were targeted for people that show smoking in their profiles, as my room was located near the fountain lounge area where the ashtrays were., altough on third floor ( I have always smoked on balcony even before the change., not room.)
We will be at Marriott Harbor Beach , Fort Lauderdale, this week so I guess we will see about their rules about balconies
Our state just passed $1 per pack additional tax , that went into effect today, so one more reason to try to quit completely.
