Whoa!! is right! If its true it would be a major change, and one that would drive me to Marriott or *Wood without hesitation.

As to the other posters assertions that miles and points for govt travel are going to be banned, I highly doubt it. The main purpose of the change in policy that allowed federal government workers to keep their points and miles was to encourage them to travel when needed for their jobs. Agencies were discovering that employees were becoming fed up with traveling on weekends and days off and with traveling on their own time. Allowing points and miles was/is seen as an effective motivator, especially since many fed employees are not directly compensated for "off time" travel.
