The usual problem of TSA wanting to look inside without you being present to let them use the key applies. The company selling the devices has the following on its web site:

They do offer a TSA-openable lock that can be used, but would you expect the TSA to properly wrap it back up if they opened it and unwrapped it for inspection?
Yeah, those are the ones that I meant.

And I guess a TSA lock would be useless in the EU.

It is just annoying that stuff is being taken out of my bag all the time. A few days ago on Rome - Glasgow, nothing was taken, but it showed up on the carosel with a lot of the zippers unzipped. I wish there was some way to avoid this....
