But what DL ought to take into account is family spending... this PM controls the travels of my family of 4 or more. One time we were a party of 5 all booked on paid (though discounted) BE tickets. And we have frequently been booked in A on domestic trips for a party of 4.

So DL should probably account somehow for ancillary spending (family) and should also probably weigh longevity factors. Family spending should be discernible if they looked hard enough simply by noting the number of pax on your PNR. I am not saying that someone such as myself should have received this "honor"... just that DL ought to consider some of these other factors. When I decide to use another carier for a given family vacation, it is usually 4 pax gone from DL, not just one.
I am assuming reading this that each person in your family has their own Skymiles number, if that is incorrect then they are counting all that spending if all those tickets go to your number.

If the assumption is correct, then you are kind of asking Delta to give you credit twice. You want each individual to get the sky miles/MQM to each SM number, but then when they go through and reward SM numbers (which is what they are really doing here they arent looking at you as a person they are looking at you as a SM account) you want them to re-reward your account for those others. You cant have it both ways.
