If flights are next month or beyond, the other danger is that the aircraft will change depending on NW's analysis of its load factors. This has repeatedly happened on the PDX-MSP route since 9/11.

Sorry that reassurance cannot be given as to your chances. The fact that it is a continuation of a NRT flight will probably reduce your chances of upgrade because of international C class PAX connecting beyond SEA.
