In order to attempt to answer your question the first question that comes to mind is, What are the dates of the flight(s)? Second what is the aircraft assigned to this flight? Third, what are the origination and destinations of the flights.
If the numbers are for flights within 3 days, EUA should have sent you an e-mail as you are Gold. The P9 indicates that there are at least 9 P seats available and possibly more (up to the number of seats in F) for the aircraft configuration you will be flying. If you are within a 24 hour window, I would assume that the chances of upgrading off the wait list are high. But not necessarily solid for origination in MSP, DTW or MEM. If the dates are beyond 5 days from the flight, you cannot with any assurance determine your chances because none of the inventory has been released for F upgrades.
Actual experience two weeks ago. MSP-PDX
day of flight P4, F0. Got put on waitlist at MCO. Told emphatically that chances were slim to none of upgrade. Got to MSP and happened to mention to GA that we probably wouldn't be flying in F because of the full flight. She poked around in the computer and handed me 2 F boarding passes (wife and I are both NW Silver). Miles posted as class flown "P". So one never knows.
