I'm definitely not a fan of fixed widescale automatic monitoring of this sort either. But where such recording facilities exist (sort of), I'd rather not give governments a monopoloy on information, particularly when they are using it akin to the manner noted above (or at least they are trying to use it in a manner akin to that noted above) but then are holding it back when it comes to members of the public trying to hold governments in check by getting access to the same facilities/material.

In this case of an AMS security screener (or screeners) sticking hands down men's pants at the screening checkpoint -- even where the WTMD has not been set off -- I'd like the footage to be available to at least those who were recorded so that they can use the material against this kind of "screening". It is disappointing to hear that others here have witnessed or -- worse yet -- experienced this at AMS as well.
