My parents were on DL #150 JFK-VCE on12/23. It was cancelled and they arrived in venice almost 22 hours late.

They described the situation at JFK on the 23rd as chaotic, and the treatment they received does not sound like the DL we all know. They are newbie flyers and do not know the usual drill when things go wrong. But they were NOT given any compensation and the hotel DL put them up overnight was full so they had to go spend their own $ to overnight at JFK. They said there were "bouncers" at JFK not letting people into the terminal, even if they had boarding passes. They said it was a total zoo and someone even got arrested.

I'm wondering if any of you have any details or were on that flight?
