A few other basic precautions -

1. At least one of the pax in the booking MUST be the credit card holder. You have to carry at least some other photo ID to get past security, so ..

2. Implementing something like Mastercard Securepay or Verified By Visa. That would take you straight to your bank's website where you have to type in some form of identification (say 3 randomly chosen numbers from your ID document that you filed with the bank, or similar) before the txn is authorized.

3. Track credit card behavior in your db for heavy / suspicious use - theres a bunch of things you can trigger on.
