Devil's advocate - wouldn't it have been easier to avoid all speculation of miles accrual for 2007 and just have purchased Jan 1st or later? If you are looking for other reasons to buy early than for getting B fares (which there should be a tonne of still out there) ... why the rush?
I agree in hindsight, but the Rules were quite explicit to my mind that the points accrue in '07, so it never even ocurred to me.
Also, in any event, as soon as I know my plans, I like to book, as based on past experience -- flights DO sell out! For example, I have booked my first two RT's on the pass, and the Jan 20th early morning flight out of YGK was sold out by Dec 22nd. Jazz pulls all the DH1s off the route for the winter and subs the BEH, so capacity is VERY limited!
