A couple or three.
1. Being a passenger (worked at SAC HQs) on Gen. Ellis' 707 converted tanker. The general always did his take-offs and landings. We came from Tokio going to Shemia in the Aleutians. Cross winds almost made him tip a wing onto the runway.
Comment by receiving ground personell: ' We thought he would loose it '

2. AF staff assistance flight McGuire to Sondrestrom Greenland. Plane's cabin never received any heat. Landing gear would not retract. Emergency landing at Goose Bay to repair. No repair possible, so, return to McGuire, still cold and drafty.

3. 1997 JFK to FRA, smelly smoke in cabin just before over Boston. Emergency landing with foam on runway with fire engines trying to outrace plane on touchdown. Good landing. Four hour inspection, no suspect of fire anywhere. Just smelly. Reboarding same plane !!
Got as far as St John Newfoundland, smelling again, return to Boston with same emergency procedure, but everything alright. Just scared.
Got put up in Hotels for next day try-outs. Different plane worked.
