Have enough miles on UA (36,000 each), AA (36,000 each) or AS (plenty) for SAN to HA. Been many times before to all islands (ex molikai and lanai).

Looking to fly without having to go thru LAX or SFO from SAN to any destination in Hawaii. Tried AA and UA and AS sites, but could not find a flight without stops. Did I miss?

Flight after Summer '07 (probably Oct). Goal is to mimimize travel time.

If nothing available, could consider Mexico. Have Hilton and Marriott points for hotels. Only experience with Mexico is TJ, and the usual stops on a cruise following transport thru the canal. IF Mexico, which time is better between Sept mid and Nov Mid? Better to me is weather under 80 and over 65 daytime, but one must be somewhat flexible.
