Driving on the right, driving while jet-lagged, and driving a manual transmission: two of the three I could manage on a Saturday in the country, but all three is iffy, especially in winter weather.
There were many ifs leading up to the trip— if I am held over in Germany, if the Greenwich museum is closed on Mondays, if the dollar crashes, and so on— so I do appreciate the replies. At this point most of the unknowns are known unknowns:
if I arrive from MUC on time at 10:05am, then
if I can dash to the bus terminal and catch the 11:15am bus to Woking, then
if the 12:46pm train to Salisbury arrives near its scheduled time, I
might make the 2:15pm guided tour of the cathedral tower, which is not conducted Sunday

. If not, well, at least I saved myself the trek to Waterloo.
Thanks for the tips. I will arrange for a taxi to pick me up at the hotel early Sunday morning.
