Not to be argumentative, but just returned from NOLA and service at our hotel was outstanding. We were not at a large chain, rather at the Hotel St. Marie in the French Quarter. I could not have see friendlier nor more helpful people. Additionally, the restaurants we patronized, Muriel's and can't remember the others, all offered very friendly and efficient service. I happen to think that SOME businesses are trying even harder to bring back the tourists, while others may not be as adept at doing so.
