ive used my co status to match twice. once on DL (never once flew them after the match) and once on HP (that worked out nicely).

in both cases, not only did they want a faxed copy of my OP elite card, they wanted 6 months worth of statements showing my flight patterns and a short, official request for the match, in writing.

i would assume UA or AS would never comp my status after seeing that nearly 100% of my elite qualifying flights are msy-phx or msy-fla. i would never connect in ORD or SEA to get to those places and without a good explination as to why i think they should comp (like an upcoming move), they'd probably deny my request.
