Since I am a bit new to all the elite stuff and this forum, please forgive if this is covered elsewhere, but I've searched and can't seem to find the answer.

I just recently hit gold elite status about 2 weeks ago, and I'm wondering if what I read in the elite info with CO is true...it says that when you reach elite status within one calendar year, you retain this for the following program year...so my question is will I keep Gold for all of 2007? I have booked a ticket flying at the end of Feb 2007 and bought Y class and used the upgrade to first with no problems.

Another question: are there any packets, etc/perks that come in the mail similar to the small one I received with Silver? If so how long does that usually take to arrive after your Gold flight?
