They say that taste buds are less sensitive when you're flying, maybe the presumably flatter/milder taste is pleasing to your palate. I went through a tomato juice/bloody Mary mix kick, thinking it was healthier. But neither of them really tasted all that good, and then I happened to notice the sodium content

I usually carry on a 16-oz or 1-liter bottle of water (now reluctantly bought from the airport vendor), and I order sparkling water, plus wine with dinner if I'm flying overnight. And maybe a cognac on SK or LH...

Nothing would induce me to touch airline coffee.
