I do LAX/HNL every six to eight weeks for work but always on AA 767's or UA 777's so I can't tell you what seats on a NW DC-10.

However, try to get seat on the left side NOT over the wing on your return from HNL. You'll have a nice view of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head.
