OK, seriously dumb question...

I called the AAdvantage people and got signed up for the challenge thing...here's the kicker, I'm going to be like 100 miles short of Platinum with this Euro trip and I have to be honest, even as much as I fly, I doubt I'd be able to maintain a Plat (50K a yr)...It'd be tough for me to make 25K

So, should i really worry about it?
Is there really that big a difference?

Someone, please sell me...I'll need to spend a couple hundred dollars and blow a day to do a mileage run to get there.
