Hello folks. I just bought a roundtrip ticket from New York (EWR) to Hong Kong (HKG) for travel some time in late May 2007 and called Continental to request an upgrade, but of course none are available at the moment. I was put on the waiting list and 50,000 miles deducted from my account. Thankfully "H" fares are fee free! Wohoo!

Could some of you impart your experience in getting confirmed upgrades to the front cabin on an "H" fare? If you did get upgraded, how soon were you notified before travel? And did you get both the outbound and return upgrades simultaneously or separately?
