"Transiting" through MIA onto BA

A few quickies :-

If arriving into BA on an international flight and then "transiting" the airport to check-in for a BA flight, can bags can be checked in when leaving the customs hall (as for AA flights) or do they have to be hauled up to the regular BA check-in desks ?

When I passed through MIA in November the left hand end of the immigration hall, which previously had something which passed itself off as an immigration queue for transiting passengers, seemed to have been "enhanced" and this feature did ot appear to be there any more. Did I miss something ?

Is there an F section to the BA lounge ? Before an AA flight in November, I popped in quickly to have a look around but did not see anything which looked to be an F section.

I assume there is no "in lounge" dining for F pax on the later flight out to LHR, but can someone please confirm.
