not only the actual exit row, but beyond...
On NW the FA's have been known to extend the "no one under 15 in the exit row" to ridiculous extremes...
We, 2 adults and 1 child in safety seat, had the row 2 rows behind the exit row - and were forced to move because an FA deemed us too close the exit row. This was on a 737 DTW-SJC with all of 20 pax on it.
