Those STN - EWR flights were great, I used to ALWAYS get upgraded to Buisness. Back then you can buy even the cheapest ticket, and you still got upgraded.
The First Class was almost never operated on those flights, so I would sit in the First Class Section. On those 742, it was in the UPPER DECK, which I loved. I miss that upper deck.
So for around $350 - $400 I flew LON - NYC in First Class seats. THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!
Back then an upgrade voucher was 300 points, then it went up to 450 points.
Also Business Class to LAX was around 2000 points.
