In fact, I just returned from MSP via MKE to DCA this aftenoon on YX 419, and couldn't believe how much more pleasant the service was on YX than on ANY other domestic carrier (legacy or low cost) -- complete with two warm chocolate chip cookies, edible BOB food that I actually enjoyed, and those wonderful Recaro seats. I am afraid, however, that all good things eventually must come to an end. If AirTran swallows up Midwest, today's great experience will become a distant memory just as free meals on real china are a thing of the distant past on YX (and YES, I did fly on YX during that period).
