Ironically, while some agents are unaware that this can be done, some only know this way of doing it. I recently saw a CSR sell a book of four upgrades, and after they printed, she stamped them and put them in the envelope, because she could not figure how to do it electronically.
United has been in the process of making CS upgrades electronic for a while. This change is not related to the new website. I believe sales still has some paper upgrades, however.
