[QUOTE=SDF_Traveler;6900234]Merry Christmas and Welcome to FlyerTalk!

2) I'm a bit more concerned about your 55 minute connection at Chicago O'Hare (ORD) on your return.

It looks like you are arriving into Chicago on a United Express flight, operated by Mesa Airlines. The aircraft is a small Canadair Regional Jet and they use the F concourse in Terminal 2.

I would suggest you stand-by for an earlier departure to Chicago O'Hare. 55 minutes is pushing it, IMHO. O'Hare gets congested in the evening and Air Traffic Control often has to slow arrivals.

It's very easy to get between Terminal 2 and Terminal 1. Have a look at the map that gary_nj posted a link to. There is also a bus over to the Terminal 1 "C" concourse as others have pointed out.

I second trying for a earlier flight- just checked flight status recently BHM-ORD: the 4:18-6:29 flight arrived early(5:53); the 6:09(Yours) LEFT BHM@7:30, arrived 9:23. Now it may be clear sailing but w/last flight of day options do u want to play it so close for int'l cnnction? Also, the gate it arrived at and seems to is F2- u would actually have to walk back to catch the bus E3 to C9. They list the 8:20 departure LHR flight leaving from C-18, that's right across from the escalator if you would walk instead from T-2 to T-1 then the tunnel from B concourse to C. A swift walk for 15 mins would easily put me at C18.
