Simply is the train or plane the best way to get from Birmingham to Edinburgh? I see the train takes about 4 hrs. 20 mins. while a flight is around 90 minutes with either flybe, BACON, or BMI Baby. Flybe and BMI are about 8 pounds more for a one way flight. Would the total time including airport time make the difference much smaller? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
