In 2006 I did 298K+ BIS. Add to that COS bonus as 75% of 298K+were in J or F,my EQM well over 325K+.

1.The miles I fly on other *A carrier do not count towards my UA lifetime miles.Only BIS miles flown on UA metal account towards lifetime miles so there is no advantage there.

2.I am a *A Girl.Being *Gold in 3,maybe it is my perception, I find I seem to get addtional service with other *A member carriers when I show my 3 cards.
Add to that,especially at International *A check-in & Lounges,most personnel recognize the top tier status Ihave in each & tend to go that extra mile. Case in point.2 weeks ago I went to the Senator's lounge in FRA. As I went to take out one of my *Gold cards,the desk agent saw my other two SQ PPS & ACSE.
She commented you must travel alot & said I see you are SQ PPS, you travel in comfort.Went had a seat.Few minutes later her supervisor comes over to me starts chatting about my travel pattern.Discovers I go to SA few times a year via SIN on SQ.She invites me to First Class lounge.The LH staff could not do enoughfor me that visit.
3.Posting all my miles would only get me additional threshold benefits which after 200K not attractive to me.I do not want simulator experience,I get more SWU than I can use.My husband is UA1K,with his quote of SWU & mine we end up with 20+ Add to that 16 CR1 & 100+ 500milers,you can see we can do without more UG instruments.Not having an extended family,I cannot gift them to my famiy.My friends and business associates are the receipents.
Even additional Elite Choice are not attractive.Both my husband & I have 3P & 2P leftwhich have to be gifted by 28 DEC.Most likely like last year we will not nominate anyone.This year we have nominated two already.All of my staff & close friends have UA status.
4.As for additional RDM,with my double 1K bonus,triple miles promo for 1month(March accumulated 350K),this year I will end up with 600k+ RDM.Add to that UA MP visa purchases,I am looking at 750K accumulation a year.

5.Contrary to belief by some posters here,I have Redeem more F & J class long haul using my UA MP miles than AC SE Instant KK.In the past 18 months to 13 Dec.2006 only one(1) international J-to Paris,& 6 RT from Thompson -YYZ for my daugther in Coach.3 RT for my son-in-law from Thompson-YYZ in coach.
As for J-Class awards to Australia,only 2 for my son; before Jan 2004.When I flew exclusively with AC.I have never redeemed AC instant KK awards for my staff to Australia or any other international destinations be it coach or J.
So Instant KK is not the reason for my having SE.

I will from 13 DEC-28 FEb.2007 go on gift giving spree & gift as many J class awards to international destinations to my friends & business associates.Many will be please with their 2006 Christmas gifts.

6.Concierge Service is one benefit I avoid like a plague.
Because of the YUL concierge service in Jan 2004 I lost a very important account.
I hold AC responsible for that lost.
I believe in punitive action.
That action cost AC. My office sends 100+ personnel to MEL.They all go on UA or SQ.25% of them travel J,as the clients pay J for those personnel.Fast forward 2006, again poor service from YUL concierge almost miss my meeting in YEG & LAX concierge.YYZ & YEG concierge I would say have given me service that has made my travel bit more comfortable.

7.Only AC SE benefit I value is SE RES.Desk.Posting 100K on AC, I get the benefit of SE,SE RES line which I can call should there be AC cancellation or delay to re-route.
They have countless number of times enhance my travel experience.Made my 75K travel in 2006 on AC bearable.Not AC concierge service.As I said,I avoid the AC concierge service like a plague,do not want to lose another large account.
