Puerto Rico is in the United States. Flying DFW-SJU is no different than flying DFW-MIA. No customs, no passports, nothing. Unless, of course, you are talking about connecting in Puerto Rico to an international flight. Flying DFW-SJU-XXX, you will go through customs at XXX. On XXX-SJU-DFW, you will clear US Customs in San Juan, unless XXX is Aruba, in which case you will clear in Aruba.
