LHR is an airport which I try to minimize my use of nowadays. It was bad enough before but just gets worse. And now they want to charge $80-$160 in tax ($40-$80 in additional tax) including on award tickets .... all for the "pleasure" of flying intercontinentally out of LHR (and other airports in the UK).
