skylink is indeed excellent, but the long taxi and sitting on hthe hardtsand waiting for a gate, the wait at the gate waiting for ground crew and finally waiting for the door to open - two days ago - made me miss my fifty-five minute connection. Not always so fine, as others are pointing out above.

I have found that DFW is a well organized airport. That airside train service is excellent. I wouldn't worry about a 45 minute connection; it should work out fine.
