I wasn't going to respond but decided better of it (rightly or wrongly )

In your previous posts you mentioned nothing about contacting BA yourself, only why they hadn't contacted you, that's why I asked.

Clearly information was changing by the minute and what was correct at one moment would change the next. This is often the case in situations like this and it's unfortunate but can't be helped.

However, this info was announced on the radio news - I heard it whilst on the road that afternoon - think it was about 2/3pm. I appreciate you wouldn't have heard it on the HEX.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do about posting, but I've been shot down before, it's just one of the hazards of differing views!
