I assume that the upgrades and seat allocations are showing up at united.com? I don't think upgrades are normally reflected back into the original reservations system (at least my TA booked trips aren't).
If the TA uses Galileo (viewtrip.com) then UA changes (seats, upgrades) should be reflected in the record on viewtrip.com. Galileo is UA's system. If the TA uses another system (Sabre, Amadeus, etc.) then UA changes likely will not show up in the original system. And airlines that use those systems or their own separate system will not have their changes propgated back to Galileo.
