WinBlows xp logon issue
So been using dell lappy with xp on it for last 3 years, all was fairly ok. Now all the sudden I'm getting the following
"Windows cannot connect to the domain, either because the domain controller is down or otherwise unavailable, or because your computer account was not found. Please try again later. If this message continues to appear contact your system administrator"
Well the DC is up and running(logged on as local admin to machine and can access network resources-xp with AD)
Never had a problem logging on locally(using cached copy of credentials)
Have done a restore from a system restore point and it seemed to work fine for a day. Reinstalled SP2.
after the point restore failed I installed a 3 week old image and seemed to work fine. But now it's hosed out again
Have scanned several time with 2 different AV and Malware programs-nothing but some cookie on here(Christmas ones at that).
Any ideas what might be going on?
Didn't (or never had ) have his issue till I came back into office this week( and I guess it reared it's UGLY head right after trying to install the software for my new Treo 680) Now I'm hosed out.......
