Agreed with the above poster that LGA is crowded and loud...but so is jetBlue's T6 at JFK for now because it has been outgrown. Honestly, LGA is just as delay-prone as JFK (LGA with runway config. and JFK with international departures causing a long line in the late afternoon). If LGA is easier access for you, try it out and see how it goes. If you are flying on a peak travel day, then you'll experience pretty much whatever you would at any otoher airport. You should be fine...enjoy the flight!
